Meet your Dietitian
Nice to meet you! I’m Ashley Nicole Morgan or Ashley Mo for short. I’m a registered dietitian with a BS in dietetics and exercise and an MS in nutritional sciences. You can read my full bio here.
I have hosted this challenge 7 times and have seen all ages win from 18-60! CONSISTENCY is what wins this challenge! If you can stay consistent for the better part of 12 weeks, you have a great shot of winning regardless of your age or athletic ability!
I have had winners that workout and focus on diet, but I have also had a winner that focused ONLY on diet!
That’s right, that’s me^^! I have done this challenge too!
Challenge Rules
This is a fat loss challenge NOT a weight loss challenge. Although weight loss can promote fat loss on most occasions, this challenge will be based on fat percentage ONLY. We take weight in order to calculate your fat percentage and for bonus knowledge.
This is a 12-week challenge.
Check in dates
Initial: January 22-23
Month 1: February 19-20
Month 2: March 19-20
Final: April 16-17
Total percent change equation used for calculating winners
Total change in body fat = (initial BF% - ending BF%) / initial BF% x 100
Example: If I start at 30% BF and finish at 25% BF, my competing number is 16.67%
(30-25) / 30 x 100 = 16.67
This makes it fair for all shapes and sizes!
Lowest BF% allowed for competition: 14% for women, 6% for men
I strongly prefer that no supplements be used in this challenge aside from protein powder. No supplemental caffeine, fat burners, weight loss aids, etc...Food first!!! (you are on the honor system)
We will take your fat until you get two readings that are the same
Check-ins are every 4 weeks
Consistency and effort WILL win this competition
There are also monthly winners! Even if you don’t feel in the runnings for 1st place, you can do great for one month and still win some money and make progress!
What to expect after enrolling
You’ll be added to a private Facebook Group where weekly tips and strategies will be posted to help you win and questions will be answered!
This helps surround you with a community of like-minded people that are going through what you are!
On that facebook group, I will post timeslots for check in days so that they go smoothly
Your weight and fat percentage will be private for you to know only.
I will post the top 5-10 monthly check ins to help evaluate your progress.
